Their instructions and tutorials are complete, accurate, and easy to use. The Miklor site is the best bar non in working with the Baofeng radios. Save a copy on your computer, then switch firmware versions for the second radio and upload that to the radio. You MAY have to use the firmware release for one radio, use CHIRP to program it. If you go to the MIKLOR site, there are very good instructions on choosing the correct firmware dependent on what year the radio was manufactured.
Trying to figure out what I need to do to make them both talk, any help would be greatly appreciated.Īssuming you are using CHIRP to program them, you might be having a conflict with two different firmware versions. Then I checked the software on radios and found they don't match, my older one works and the newest one doesn't receive only sends.
I used the older radio to download from radio since it was already programed. I have (2) Baofeng UV-5R radios that wont talk, I used the CHIRP 04.1 to program them and it went thru but with an error.
